Steel grade S235JR is actively used to implement civil engineering solutions. Steel structures are made from S235JR steel for the construction of industrial and residential facilities, parts of power transmission towers, elements of equipment, offshore structures, oil and gas platforms, automobile bridges and other structures.
Steel grade S235JR can be welded without restrictions, without subsequent heat treatment and without heating; however, note that as the product thickness increases, so does the risk of cold cracks.
